Gerraint looked pretty strong in the Tour De Suisse (obviously, he won it, but he never really seemed in trouble). If he keeps out of trouble and Ineos do their thing of having more people left by week 3 than the other teams then he could have a real chance at the GC. That is until it rains and they all slide out because apparently they have cursed tyres.

Conspire is a poor choice of word but if more than one team were to try the same tactic in pursuit of their own goals…

I use this during the Tour to get ITV4 in HD (which you can't on Freeview or the free ITV app) and also because you can download shows on catch-up to watch offline. This came in handy last year holidaying in mid-Wales where the mobile and wifi signals were spotty when trying to stream but adequate for downloading. I've got a vague recollection that things showed up on catch-up pretty promptly, but might be misremembering.

No ITV podcast this year, but they are doing the Never Strays Far/Car daily. Watts Occuring is entertaining and the Eurosport one tends to just be Wiggins swearing and lauding praise on Geraint if that's your bag.

One of my favourite bits of the three Tour De France weeks is tuning into ITV4 a little too early and then catching whatever random old program is being shown. Looks like I'll be getting into Robin of Sherwood this year.

Gonna avoid social meeeja and here until 8pm ITV highlights. I really enjoyed the GCN lot for the Giro though so may switch to them, especially for any live post-stage analysis
