completed Inscryption in 2 sittings over Thursday and Friday. Really good game, great creepy atmosphere, weird meta narrative stuff and good core roguelike deckbuilding mechanics. For the folks that have been enjoying slay the spire it could be a good one.
Picked up sekiro in the steam sale. Witcher just didn't do it for me, so now I'm gonna go be a ninja.

Saw something on Reddit about updating your communication settings, saving, and then reverting to what you actually want, and it "should" resolve your issue.
You may need to read a T&C update regarding video sharing, too. -

on steam there's a whole bunch of mods that add extra characters and pretty much every other kind of content too.

I enjoyed it but it wore me out before the end and I ended up just wanting it to be over already.
it's an incredible one of a kind experience though and very glad I played it but I have no intention of revisiting it ever again.

That's helpful, cheers.
If I can get the controller to get me past this screen first, then that's what I'll do. -

Yeah I did unfortunately find the mechanics in the last part of the game the least enjoyable. I am interested to try Kaycee's mod which is just a rebalancing of the first part of the game to run as a proper roguelike.

Fired up Witcher 3 again to pass some time, it's been about 18 months since I last played. Finished HoS and decided to try and complete my Gwent collection. Turns out I'm one card short and that's one of the few truly missable cards in the game, so frustrating. Could perhaps so a NG+ but this game is already at 130hrs

• #27162
Masquerade? I thought they’d patched in so any you miss could be obtained otherways once missed, but maybe conjecture. I just did a similar replay and was hyper careful!
-
• #27163
They did, but you can miss 3 by not doing the passiflora Gwent tournament, I've missed the geralt of rivia card as I never completed A Deadly Plot so Thaler will never appear to play against for it

Surprisingly cheap!
Definitely going to buy this... -
• #27165
Got you. That’s annoying. Similar situation is exactly what led to my being so careful on the most recent replay.

One of these days I'm going to do a run where the purpose is to go to Touissant super early, get the whole Skellige deck and then use that in all subsequent Gwent matches. Entirely doable in an NG+ run but that would be too easy. Step 1: build a reasonable Nilfgaard deck. Step 2: get past the giant...

Holy shit thanks for the heads up

I picked it up a few days back (regardless of seeing that there were some issues with the new version). Hoping to get some time to play it tonight but I'm hoping there's enough uptake for them to warrant carrying out some bug fixes and general improvements.

On a tangential note, thinking about picking up the Shadowrun Trilogy on Switch. Not really into the whole fantasy thing. Anyone who's got experience with them who are able to give an opinion on whether it's worth picking up regardless?

I fucking LOVE the Shadowrun trilogy. Love love love love love. It's very not fantasy, and contains no obvious fantasy tropes except for the character types and models themselves, you're not going to go into it all like 'right now i need to find the king of greyfawndr and deliver him the goblet of avantredeth in order to save the life of his lovely daughter cellardor', no no. I'm not a big fantasy fan myself, I can't be doing with all that nonsense, but Shadowrun is great stuff. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Gameplay-wise they're a little dated and clunky (maybe the Switch versions have improved that somewhat) but not to throw-your-computer-in-the-canal level. Story-wise they're chef's-kiss level. I loved those games so much I started playing the actual TTRPG they're based on and now I GM Shadowun on the tabletop for a bunch of nerds. I got WAY into it as a result of the Returns trilogy. The developer had the original writer for the early TTRPG write the stories for them, so it's very story focused over mechanics.
The best one out of the three is Dragonfall, IMO. Dietrich is a top-tier RPG companion <3
I mean, you still might hate it. But if it's anecdotes you want, then that's mine :D I recommend those games to everyone.

I'm playing shadowrun returns now it's on gamepass, it's a bit clunky but enjoying it so far a few hours in.
Yeh, you're right, but unfortunately my PS4 keeps bringing up an 'update profile' page before the main menu screen.
I can only get out of that screen by hitting the PS button on the controller, but it won't work with the new controller.
Not sure what's going on here.
