• Finished, bar a heavier weight spring and a bigger brake adapter for the rear, but it's rideable.
The previous owner mashed up the pedal thread a bit, so got that tapped this morning. Won't get a chance to ride it til the weekend, but bouncing round the garden the shock rebound is pretty noisy. Dunno if that's a good or bad thing, but have spoken with Chris Porter and it's gonna get a service and proper revalve once my bank balance recovers.

A few pics, toddler for scale.

  • Quite the contrast between the two bikes.
Has toddler complained yet that you get a new and very badass looking bike compared to cute rockets?

  • Looks banging. Soooo long. Where ya gonna ride a bike like this? (Angling for riding spots)

  • This is absolutely sick. Looks like a blast!

  • Just had a thought, although from what you describe, it’s seems unlikely, but the ext shocks can have a very audible click when the shaft compresses on the first couple of millimetres. It’s the check valve opening and closing, mojo can remove it with a service.
Unlikely this actually the cause but worth mentioning since when you give the forks a hard compression, the shock will compress slightly and you’ll hear the check valve open.
