Maybe it’s just edgier to hate on EVs?
I think it's more that so many places are presenting EVs as the solution (or at least a large part of it) and good for the environment rather than just a slightly cleaner part of the same problem.
I know my council rolls encouraging EV takeup into the sustainable transport plan for instance.

I already have an electric cargo bike that's more practical than the traffic-mobiles on this thread. it's not an "electric vehicle" it's a bike.
where are the interesting electric vehicles that inspire nicer lives for us all?

It’s strange seeing this commentary here rather than on the much more populated car thread where there is even less consideration for congestion or emissions.
Maybe it’s just edgier to hate on EVs?
All this energy (no pun intended) could be put to better use converting classic car owners or people with holiday vans to cargo bike zealots…
In terms of disappointing people on the content of a thread, perhaps the climate change thread is more appropriate for broader conversations on emissions and congestion solutions.
