Also idk if it makes a difference but this will almost exclusively be used for PowerPoint, Excel, and more PowerPoint.

That's a bit different then. You can pair it with something like this https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B08G1F4LJ5 (no idea about that specific one but you get the idea) and it's a much better setup than just the laptop.
Mine is some Asus one I got from work but it's used when traveling most of the time so no nice set up. Still far preferable to a single monitor though.
If I was buying my own I'd try and get something with usb and hdmi connections.

Anyone got experience of the Håg Capisco?

Good point.
This is what I was looking at Portable Monitor, ARZOPA 15.6 Inch, 1920×1080 FHD, 100% SRGB IPS Monitor Screen with HDMI/Type-C/USB-C, Eye Care Gaming Portable Screen, Dual Built-in Speaker for Laptop/PC/Mac/PS3/PS4/PS5/Xbox/Phone https://amzn.eu/d/4ZH8aN9
Should also probably have a look to see if the W10 laptop-to-laptop screen sharing/casting thing works with this new laptop and my old personal one. As that would be a pretty neat solution.

Seems pretty good, the colours aren't terrible or anything like that and I've not had any problems with it connecting or whatever. I've not really used it for actual work I'm afraid - really as everyone else said the issue with it (if there is one) is that it might not be comfortable to work with a low down screen without a separate keyboard and mouse. I'm yet to try that.
If that's not going to bother you due to to having it on a stand I'd say go ahead. You could maybe find smaller or larger one if you don't/do anticipate needing to travel with it, 15.6" is okay but quite a bit bigger than my 13" laptop.

Cheers.
Definitely looking at 15.6" as I've currently got no expectation of travelling with it and I want something bigger than my 13" laptop.
Seem to have hit a road block with using my personal laptop as a 2nd screen. Do thsrs.

Yes—used for c.12 months, I really like it: I've got one that can go tall enough to work with standing desk, and it always feels stable and supportive. The range of motion/position it supports is also nice.
I did go to sit on one at the shop on Wigmore Street to check how it felt.

Did you try the 8020 version as well? Big difference?
8020 is about half price here, but wonder if it will hold up for long daily use

Afraid not, but I had the same concerns as you and I wasn't that fussed about trying it out.

one of my clients has a few, I took the piss out of them a few times for it, then sat in it. WOW. so good.

Tempted by this as the side scroll wheel should help reduce bending and straightening of fingers.

I use the mx master 3 have had no issues at all.

Cheers. And can the side scroll wheel be used as the main scroll function?

These are the best mice.

Cheers. And can the side scroll wheel be used as the main scroll function?
Just been looking for how to achieve this and at this point I'm thinking it can't be swapped with the default software - on Mac at least.

I have also had a look in the settings on Windows, and don't think it is possible either

Yep. Looks it like it's not possible with the OOTB software; https://support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/360040540293-Mx-Master-Thumb-Wheel-Vertical-Scroll

Balls. I see other mice with a trackball at the thumb. I am trying to eliminate bending of that knuckle if at all possible.

Ah, cool. I am windows only.

I already use auto hotkey anyway, I forgot.

I'm Mac, I haven't tried it, I am not a Windows guy. I'd poke around a bit more before pulling the trigger.

AHK works well (so much so, I forgot I had it) so happy enough to pull the trigger. I haven't seen anything else that does what I want.
Cheers.
I will be using it with a separate keyboard and mouse and the laptop will be on a stand like this:
So I guess double checking the stand options first is the way to go.
Which screen did you get in the end?
