When are we going to go for a spin....before summer fucks off? It is such a pretty bike!

So. I've been given a 3 day pass to go touring in a few weeks. Was looking around at where to go and I can fly to cologne for £11. Adding a bike to the flight is an extra £60....
So I am now trawling German ebay for nice gazelle to pick up when I get there instead, then ride that home.
Plan is to head north into Holland. Past the old factory at Dieren, ride over some bridges in Arnhem, then back down in South into flanders. Ferry then train home.
I just need to find a bike now. Annoyingly ebay kleinanzeigan won't allow me to verify an account as I don't have an eu phone number. Does anyone happen to know a good source for bikes in cologne ish area?

Way way better change to fly to the Netherlands and pick up a Gazelle from marktplaats.nl and go from there. You can cycle through Limburg and the Eiffel to get to Cologne which is a really nice ride

Have we got any other Gazelle owners out west?
-
• #3467
I would if I could . Trouble is I'm limited by time, date, money and location. I need to fly on Friday after 5 in order to be back on Monday eve for work and childcare.
No flights from Bristol to NL on the weekend. I'm happy to do a train from cologne in the eve so can go anywhere really. I'm just limited by flights

Any of you folks in Holland. Here's one for you. I've been trying to talk to him, but language barrier is proving tricky and he says he has no more photos. So it's not worth me making the trip over for it.
It's a shame, I've been looking for one of these for years

Hi folks, my Gazelle 753 cross mondial has been through the wars a bit since I posted it here.
Not long after that pic, the driveside chainstay cracked. Had it replaced by Jon Chickens, an A+ framebuilder and throughly decent bloke local to me in Brighton. He brazed on downtube bottle cage bosses (didn't have any originally), widened chainstays to take 35c and powdercoated it this burgundy red for me.
Anyway, roll on two years and a few weeks back the downtube cracked.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wW2plWeN-bxd-T9CKh79ans96YV5ZK1N/view?usp=sharingI've ridden it heaps in the 3 years I've owned it and loved it immensely, but sadly I've come to the conclusion it doesn't make sense for me to put any more ££ into it. I want to race a bit of cross this year and to get something with discs.
So, would anyone on here like to take her off me and get her repaired and ridden again? Size 56.
It would be collect from Newhaven/Brighton/Lewes/ or can post at cost.
tl:dr - free cracked 56cm Gazelle 753 cross frame if you can pay postage or collect from Newhaven/Lewes/Brighton
