There's a pretty solid argument that Nutella was created a result of a naval blockade by Napolean against the English leading to a cocoa shortage in continental Europe in the early 1800s. /csb

You can get the more traditional version as Gianduja, very nice but probably not for the haters.

Have never tried it but am just about to spend the summer in North and South Tyrol so I'm going to do my damndest to seek some out. I think a lot of it is made not too far away.
