My wife and I used to use Good budget, you can set monthly budgets and log spends across multiple users.

Thanks for this less hedgey answer which adds bolt lengths and screw driver in.

And I'm right thinking stainless steel is the go to material for bolts?
Depends....!
Stainless into aluminium is bad (galvanic corrosion hell). Some zinc plated would be good in that situation, or coated stainless.
-
• #113207
Is it really that bad? I've got a few alu stems with A2 and A4 stainless bolts, all installed with shit tons of grease. Not had a problem with corrosion... yet.

It's fine if you don't introduce an electrolyte. Add sweat or meltwater from salted roads though and it gets ugly fast.

We have to use stainless coated fasteners at work into our aluminium castings because of this. Done a fair amount of work on it in the past . Have some great pics of aluminium being eaten away by it!

Thanks. Does this also apply so vigorously to anodised aluminium, with well lubed Ti fasteners?
Just wondering whether I’ll be immediately deaded unless I swap all my stem bolts...
-
• #113211
Titanium is fine as far as corrosion goes, but see my 94 earlier posts about why swapping stock steel fasteners for Ti is potentially dangerous.

Are there other brands of stem like this:

Fairweather has something like that.

There are NSFW reasons to put it in fishy looking bikes.

Fisty looking bikes?

Nitto makes the Fairweather ones, and some of Nitto's own ones are not dissimilar to the VO one

A friend has just bought a ~2019 Sonder Frontier, with bizarre 110mm front/141mm rear quick-release dropouts.
Does anyone know where I can find a 110mm front QR skewer? The one on his bike is missing the serrated cam piece...
Will I need to get hex skewers and find a suitably long M5 cap head bolt instead?
-
• #113221
110mm skewers exist, doesn’t have to be a front. You can also cut one down that is longer if it still leaves enough threads.
-
• #113222
Just to be clear, these are not boost, correct?
-
• #113223
These are allegedly ‘boost QR 110/141’, which I’d never heard of before.
I’ve bought him a set of Halo Hex Skewers in ‘XL’ guise, will see if these fit. If not, I’ll source a longer M5 skewer bolt for them.

Does anyone know a free website I can use to create avatars from photos, but which is an online app rather than one you have to download?
I've found a few websites listing avatar sites, but you have to go to each one to check.
Just wondered if someone knew which ones are online off the top of their head.
Cheers.
