@Belagerent 2 sets in 3 years I think is taking the piss abit. I mean I could (probably will) just run the drive chain into the ground until it longer shifts and replace everything all at once. After a no doubt long walk home one day.
@stelfox I'm not fussed on the 30mm axle, does that open up more options? Means switching out the BB I guess (which is definitely knackered).

24mm gets you Sugino, Middleburn (both pricey), or Shimano GRX - that will need new derailleur as the chain line is different. Also Shimano road + absolute black rings (which themselves are 160 for 48/32).
Rotor Vegast arms and 46/30 direct mount can be had for £220 from bikeinn. Easton I think is a little more expensive (nearer 300). I don’t know of any 110x5 options aside from praxis for sub-compact.
I think buying new chain rings every 5-6 years isn't too much of an outgoing.
