There aren’t many aluminium rim-brake race frames being made nowadays. The sale price is simply the supply/demand outcome in today’s market, which doesn’t look bad value at £400 assuming it has years of service left. I prefer this to an RRP dreamed up by Big Bike.
The Standert Kreissäge is a modern, albeit niche, equivalent (race geo, aluminium, rim brake), which retailed at E1,400 new and is now sold out.
