Has anyone figured out how to get crash replacement on Hollowgram stuff ie a wheel? Original retailer not responding so far.

I think it has been asked before (maybe even by myself lul) but i cannot find it:
The bordeaux Saecos of which a CAAD 5 and a CAAD 7 exist:
caad7 has OPTIMO on the seat tube and caad 5 has CAAD5 on seat tube, right?
Theres no way a caad 5 has optimo written on it?
what are the differences (except 7 is rarer than 5)?
what would be your estimated price for a 5/7 frameset including OG fork and good shape?
Many thanks guys 💝

I think optimo refers to the specific aluminium they were made of, and only came out with the caad 7.
Correct that a 5 can’t be an optimo.
7’s less old, and I assume maybe lighter? And prob some other design tweaks and hence I’d pay more for a 7.
My dream frame would be a sparkly blue 54cm caad7 optimo.
What they’re worth purely based on condition, paint scheme and how bad you want it. I’d pay a decent amount for the above. But you could prob get an average one for £100? Maybe less.

Too bad I slept on this one two years ago 💔

You silly goose. 😵

Love that you kept a screenshot of it. You sadist.

You can easily spot the difference by the gear cable stops. CAAD5 has gear cable stops on the downtube, CAAD7 has them on the headtube. Yeah Optimo a bit lighter. Otherwise very similar frames. Wait for a 7
£250-300 for the frameset. People will ask more but they rarely sell for more than that.

While we're wishing on a star, I'd love a 1992 R600 in 60 cm. Very taken with the black and purple colour.

Hah - and I am not storing it in my „favourites“ folder (or do I?) 🌝
Two years ago i was in the middle of building up my allez sprint and €600 for a 20 yo frameset was long money back then (for me at least)(and I think it still is today, also looking at PhilDAS quote)

Sold mine for £300 or less, I can't remember. 4 years ago now.
Great frame though

My Saeco CAAD5 has Optimo written on the seat tube. The frame is very light, more than my CAAD3 and far more comfy. I don't know about the CAAD7 but my CAAD5's steerer is aluminium.

Maybe it’s a 7?!

I assumed my frame was a 5 because of its BSA bottom bracket and no PF for hollowgram cranks.
It's probably not. I'm pretty sure all of the frames are BB30 and it most likely has an FSA threaded alloy sleeve pressed into the shell.
It's possible to press this out and use the bb30 bearings in the frame if so. I did it to a supersix and my caad10 track has the same from stock -
• #15372
I'm not 100% sure but I don't think there's a BB30 CAAD5.

• #15373
Lucky that it's a CAAD7 then ;)

It’s just tripled in price.
Inflation is mad atm.
