Fans of their music I guess.
Never been myself and have no plans too. My neighbours in their 60's go everytime in their camper. Doubt they're going to watch whoever is headlining.

knew a guy at work, who hadn't missed going to glastonbury for a decade or more.
He's going this year as well.
I went to the big chill festival three years in a row, and the law of diminishing returns was STRONG by the time I did the third one.
I'm not a fan of glastonbury, I don't understand the veneration for it, but I could probably force myself to go at least once, just to see what the fuss was about, but inwardly be thinking it's not all that..
Much prefer european festivals, better weather, and better/more varied line ups than uk ones.anyway back to the hating.

I guess so but I don't think anybody I know has ever gone there for a headliner. Apart from maybe my wife who came along to see PJ Harvey once.
