Strange one that - I was working in music royalties 10 years ago & could have sworn this issue was dealt with back then, maybe it didn't filter through to the indies.
The amount of royalties shenanigans the labels used to get up to though, I've seen packaging & breakage deductions applied to downloads as well as record sales!
