Basic but good.
How wide is that wall with the oven?
And are those corner cupboards with caroussel things in both corners? Nice to use?
You can probably tell by the load if questions that I have a similar space here.

Thanks - 2570mm - on the drawing. The corner cabs are 935. The smeg 600 . Used worktop offcuts to fill the excess either side cooker. Yes there our carousels in the corners but they don’t function because it’s where we keep all the pans pots roasting trays etc and those things just don’t fit nicely. Carousels good for smaller upright items I think - jars tins spices pasta etc

We have a similar width and oven placement, so those corner things seem logical.
But what you say confirms my suspicions.
We would definitely have lids dropping into the void nonstop.
