IMO to optimise for a smal space:
Built in flush handles.
No worktop overhang.
Wall cabinets to the ceiling.
IKEA so you can potentially update doors at a later date. Also, are they planning to refit the boiler? Because it looks like a lot of pipe work underneath IRL that doesnt feature in the Howdens visual.

For example:
https://luxairhoods.com/Canopy-Cooker-Hoods/canopy-cooker-hood-54cm-stainless-steel
Compared to the similar Howdens Lamona option, the Lamona is 57-71db, the Luxair is 47-68db with similar power.
There is a lower powered cheaper shallow canopy Lamona version, which has an extraction rate of 321m3/h (less than half the above) and noise level of 73db, which you should probably avoid.
Unlikely to get anything more powerful or quiet than 650m3/h for a built in hood, unless you spend thousands on a Miele fan.

I think its maybe a little high but I dont think its miles off tbh

Will you have an island? Looks mint but maybe a lil shy on prep space
-
• #3532
We don't have space for an island. The countertop space is probably the biggest drawback, but it was a trade off for other things. The peninsula is going to be 2.4 x 0.9 (approx), and the top under the cabinets 2.1 x 0.6 (approx), so hopefully we will have just about enough.

The challenge of a corner is always that bit of worktop in reality is a bit of a pita to use. It’s a sink with worktop either side right?
-
• #3534
Your sink, hob, peninsular layout is identical in layout and size to mine. If you're having a bin in a drawer thing then I can recommend putting the bin here.

Which one is integrated dishwasher?

Can't tell if joking... but to the right of the sink (under drying rack)

Useful - thank you

Assuming you're going for induction looking at the pics.
Although physical dials are nice, having touch screen and completely smooth top means you can use it as a prep space by putting a big chopping board on top of it. -

Floor to ceiling.
I honestly don't know why anyone would do otherwise - it seems like such a no-brainer.

No need for this but here’s what we did - as tall cabs as you can on the left - any chance to move the boiler to clean up the corner near the window ?

Thanks pal
Basic bitch design - looks better now Aesop and wanky ceramics are cluttering it up -

Oh and before someone asks - 14k Inc appliances which was about as cheap as I could possibly do it - without attempting diy and ruining my relationship further 😂

Good call on less cupboard, make it brighter and bigger

IKEA so you can potentially update doors at a later date.
I think this is clever and definitely something I'm keen to do as you can then upgrade further down the line for a purely cosmetic upgrade but while having paid down the cost of the kitchen.
Do people tend to suggest doing the same with worktops? For example opting for wood initially and then getting quartz? Or is it too much of a ballache and better to get the best one initially fitted?

Sorry, no pics as I'm isolating in my sons old bedroom having tested positive for covid. The cabinets are in light oak inside so not 100% what they are but we specced MDF. The extractor is not a hood but hidden in a cabinet above the hob. Not a good choice lol.

Basic but good.
How wide is that wall with the oven?
And are those corner cupboards with caroussel things in both corners? Nice to use?
You can probably tell by the load if questions that I have a similar space here. -
• #3548
This is basically the kitchen we are currently having built!
Love it.

• #3549
Thanks - 2570mm - on the drawing. The corner cabs are 935. The smeg 600 . Used worktop offcuts to fill the excess either side cooker. Yes there our carousels in the corners but they don’t function because it’s where we keep all the pans pots roasting trays etc and those things just don’t fit nicely. Carousels good for smaller upright items I think - jars tins spices pasta etc
