It's a custom fork on a custom bike so I'll go all out and have a custom wheel.
Brompton rims also wears out quicker due to their size hence it makes sense to go disc for the long run.
Sick build and fingers crossed I'll get mine going soon!

Yeah fair enough, there's definitely a place for disc conversions, I just fancied doing it a bit different.
I'd really like to do a 20" conversion at which point I'd probably go to discs.

Hit me up… got something for you my dude

Fair game!
Based on your build you've got it figured out AND I'm really jealous!

Trying these for a bit - a little short but I like the ski pole vibe.

In need of a couple, or 1 pre 2017 brake bolts; the one that holds the brake cable inner. If anyone's willing to pop them in the post.
As I've managed to round mine off upgrading levers! -

On the actual brake caliper? Just take the old one to a decent hardware store
-
• #11509
Yes on the caliper.

I’m on the lookout for an S2L for a friend if anyone’s got anything going, or knows of one. Any condition.
-
• #11514
Budget? That s6l above can easily be made an S2l

GF was told off at work for wheeling the Brompton through to the office. She is however allowed to fold it and wheel it. Which is the best rolling rack or does it not matter?
-
• #11516
Jobsworths.
Even the cheap aliexpress ones with upgraded wheels are passable
-
• #11517
Jobsworth is very true. It’s a massive building, and it’s not really feasible for her to carry it.
Is there a rack and wheels I can get in the UK with quicker delivery than AliExpress?
-
• #11518
Probably a H+H aluminium, I can get one in a week, but sjs might have stock. I’d go with JK or SON easy wheels too

Looks like my folks insurance will payout for ky dad's bike, so although I haven't chatted to him yet I'm keen to get an idea of models.
Two priorities are
- Lockable rear triangle, and
- A non-obsolete rear hub so you can actually get parts unlike the T5.
My gut says a 2 speed with lower gearing, but in a lot of ways I've always thought the 6 speed was fairly useful given the negligible extra weight of 3 vs 6. Bars wise I think the trad ones are still fine, although if there are bars even higher that would be better.
Also given his age I'm curious about the electric ones. Although I think it may be price prohibitive. What are they like? Useful? Amazing? A gimmick? Plagued by issues? Any insights appreciated.
Cheers.

I would go m3l or h3l for ease and simplicity; you gotta buy new from shop?
The electric is great, when it works, but £3k is mad

Cheers.
Idk yet. But I think they'll just get the money so I was planning on 2nd hand, which is what I did with the one just nicked. Annoying that there's an orange one for sale at the mo for a good price, but there's no way I could move quickly enough.
electric
Fuck. I didn't realise it was £3k. That is pretty punchy.

What's the problem(s) with it?

Your idea of “budget” clearly differs from mine 🙂

I’ll second Ryan’s recommendation- me and Mrs JJ have H&H racks with EZ wheels. Makes rolling it along a doddle.
With Swiss stop bxp pads; legit good
