  • Please point me to 48/38 chainrings (black) 110 bcd 5 bolt that will work on a dub crankset with shimano 11s thanks.

  • 105 Di2 seems to be confirmed based on FCC certification for the wireless

  • Someone was telling me about this the other day. Not sure I like the idea of button cells in the shifters. I like being able to recharge everything in one go.

  • Apparently they have two in each shifter for 105 vs DA and Ultegra with one

  • Yeah I saw in the article. I still prefer just to carry my charger on long rides, with the wireless stuff I'd have to worry about spare watch cells as well.

  • Yes time you get SRAM.

  • You don't have to use the button cells. You can still wire up the shifters inthe traditional way and run them off the main battery. The 8170 and 9270 series levers can be used either wired or in wireless mode.

  • Ah, clever cookies. So you could more easily retrofit wireless to a non-Di2 bike but use the same shifters on a proper wired setup. Neat. I've been thinking of making the Sequoia the missus uses Di2. Actually I've just had a look and hers looks like it might in fact have Di2 ports.

  • Most leaked groupset ever?

  • Mine does, but so far I’ve resisted.

  • SRAM direct mount DUB can you switch between 1x and 2x?
I’m considering a groupset and a half in SRAM force to switch between the two is there an easy read guide?

  • SRAM direct mount DUB can you switch between 1x and 2x?

With force AXS cranks, the answer is yes. You can run the 2x rings or a 1x ring on the removable spider.
There’s also the newer 1-piece direct mount 1x rings.

  • I guess it will depend if we end up doing more travel with her Seq or if we buy her something new. The original plan was to buy her a lighter road bike with Di2 but that didn't really happen so now it's into the mountains with the Seq. From a maintenance and travel point of view I'd like her on Di2. If we do anything bigger then Di2 has the bonus of being easier on the hands. Basically, time will tell, but at least the option is there. If @frank9755 ever finds my spare RD then I've probably got half the Di2 groupset already ;)

  • That’s the reason I keep looking at Di2/AX I’ve got shagged hands so I’d like to see if I’ll help. After a long ride I can hardly bend the fingers on my right hand now, especially if it’s cool out. It’s not as bad on the fixed, so could be worth a try.

  • Aerobars?

I've never really had hand issues, I think because I spend so much time using aerobars. Going to MTB has been a rude shock. I've got an issue with one knuckle on my left hand that's been there for months. I think maybe it's from the 24hr MTB but I can't be sure. For all I know I punched a wall while fixing a bike.
But going to Di2 after using normal TT shifters in long time trials definitely made a positive difference to hand/wrist/arm fatigue.

  • I don’t think they’d help. I snapped and dislocated my right thumb surfing about 30 years ago and when they pinned it all back together they fucked up big time. If I try to touch the pads of my fingers with my thumb I can only just get to the ring one if I push them together with my other hand. My thumb and index finger are fused below the first knuckle. So sideways action is super hard.
Writing this has made my think I’ll give bar ends another go, as the movement would be at the wrist. Hmmmm

  • Has anyone taken apart a Di2 lever like this? I suspect the return spring on one of my levers is faulty and needs to be replaced. Wonder if I can do this 'on bike'.

  • I’d go to Home Depot and get a few spare snap rings in case it gets wrecked in the process. There are prying tools with very small flat tips that might be better than the pick the video shows.
mybicycleparts on Ebay has a lot of these Shimano spares.

  • @dubtap 105 di2 is here

  • Jesus I’m buying a Ribble aren’t I

  • £1,730 for a third tier groupset? Madness.

  • Third tier leccy one, so a notch above regular third tier.

  • If someone was looking at SRAM force etap, rim brake, what's the best price?
