Why would there be a difference in the upkeep if it's in the same constituency (Bristol East)?
Constituency is largely irrelevant. If they're the same local authority, they are probably different wards. It's down to ward councillors to fight for their corner.

Just checked and it's the same ward

In front, surely. You wouldn't want to look ridiculous

Where I live, in Glasgow, the ward contains a neighbourhood of tenement blocks and right next to it, a garden suburb with villas. The bin collections for the garden suburb are weekly, and they take rubbish, recycling, garden and food waste and glass in separate bins. In the tenements, they take rubbish every 8 days and recycling every 16 days, and empty the street bins every two weeks. So there's rubbish everywhere a lot of the time. The only reasonable conclusion is that the councillors don't expect an electoral negative impact for failing to fix the situation.

Yeah, I was coming to this rather sad conclusion. Also middle class white people like to kick up a fuss, right? Angry emails and letters to the local paper etc.

Has anyone had any experience with tide bank?
Someone has bought something from me but I’ve received a notification that I need to provide shipping information to release the funds, I’m fine with this in principle but tide seems to be a .co address and the email was from tidecustomers.org. It’s making my spider senses tingle…

Shimano says its max capacity is 37t and I want to run 41t
Dunno about DI2 stuff, but I'm running my 32t capacity Sora rear on a 36t cassette which works fine, had to unscrew the b screw a few turns, but otherwise works flawless.

Litespeed frames.
Their website explains you can fit any wheel and tyre within them.
How long has this been true?
I have found a few sales for frames built on 26 wheels and was hoping this would still apply to older models.Edit; Obed 2007 (?)

In case anyone was wondering it was a scam, when I said I was in contact with tide, the person disappeared from the fb marketplace chat…

Is there not a general ‘what helmet’ thread on the forum?
After sweating my tits off today, I want something really well ventilated for the very hottest weather. Something that doesn’t look shit so not POC.

Best vented I've owned are Catlike Mixino and Specialized sworks.

In 2007 an MTB frame would have been designed for 26" wheels. Or perhaps 29", but then it would be unlikely to have 26" on now.
27.5" wheels can fit in some 26" frames, but only if they had particularly big clearance - tyres and rims were narrow back then. Or maybe if you're doing a road conversion.

Thanks. I did UTFS but it was buried below loads of classified ads.
I thought our Lord and saviour David banned the sale of second hand helmets???
-
• #113143
I guessed someone was going to say Catlike but I don’t think I could bring myself to wear one.
S Works look very good.
There should be test helmets that you can take out sweat into like there are test saddles.

Think Specialized have a returns policy.
-
• #113145
I think he banned the sale of new helmets. Everything had to be classed as second hand. Or I may have imagined that.

• #113146
You're right - it's the second pinned thread in the components page that explains it all

Why are people in the Tiverton Best Western so grumpy?
-
• #113148
Because they are in Tiverton?

• #113149
Because their MP was watching porn in the House of Commons

Have to dissolve a seatpost at home. How does one correctly dispose of used caustic soda in London?
If you're wearing overhead headphones, and have a topknot, should the band of your headphones go in front, or behind the top knot.
