Deore bottom bracket, cheapest "hollowtech 2" crankset available on eBay, 110 narrow wide from Superstar Components (untested, do not consider this an endorsement).
Superstar Components single speed chainring bolts seem inconsistently sized. Will not buy again.
It will soon be revealed (by who?) that 99 - 98% of square taper cranksets available on the second hand market have had the tapers ruined and are being "sold as seen" or "for display use only" by unscrupulous home mechanics.
Don't bother trying to reverse lookup my laminate fingerprint, it doesn't exist on any database.
Stay normal.

"Everyone" knows that Tesa 4289 tape is the same as "branded" tape. Is it? Have you done your own research before taking this as fact?
Everyone knows about 4289, but the knowledge about which o-ring to obtain to repair a Shimano BR-RS785 leaky hydraulic calliper is locked in an obscure "Singletrack" thread with outdated eBay links and no follow up.
I needed 5 layers of tape. No pressure tank necessary, but it always helps.
Stay normal.

Semi abnormal shifter choice but it was what I had in the "9 Speed Drivetrain" box so it will have to do.

Apologies for going dark. I was attending to a potential opsec slip. In the mean time I basically finished the build.
All together now:

A good looking one (cables blah blah). Just needs a carrying option now

trajectory not looking great judging by the hose/cable lengths

I had a lot of hassle trying to get the headset to work. The "Kooka Kolour" headset that had come with the bike had a crown race that lay flat, which meant it was slightly recessed, which meant that when it was tightened the lower headset cup always rubbed against the top of the fork. I assume this was an attempt at sabotage from the Chris King lobby. Swapping the crown race with a normal one worked, but by that point I thought I may as well fit the entire normal headset and put the kooks one "In a box".

With regard to carrying capacity, I would really like to make these matching blackburn racks that I got to work, but the front one doesn't line up with any braze ons. Can be solved with p clips obviously but the fork has so many braze ons on it already that just winds me up.
Otherwise I have a spare pelago frack that will go on.
Hoses will be sorted once I decide I'm keeping the bike for certain / am deadset on the riding position. At the moment it feels more upright than I would like.

I liked these frames; shouldn't have sold mine. Made a cracking little 650b Gravè sled.

You guys may not realise this but by speaking out and building this bike I've become a target for extreme harassment. Several times when I've been stopped at the lights people on rim brake bikes have looked at me and once someone even said "nice bike" but I think they were being sarcastic. It has taken a toll on my mental and even physical health.
It had actually gotten to the point that I was going to sell this on. Also it's a bit too blingy for a commuter / lock up and getting a dynamo wheel for it would be kind of expensive (for a lock up).
However, in what may have been a false flag attack, my retro hip cranked 26er basket bike was destroyed when I roof racked it into a low bridge, so this Qanon bike is going to have to take its place. I would kind of preferred to get an old rim brake 700c touring bike for the cheapness/lack of steal ability, but they all have threaded headsets and I'm scared of them.
Bars have been swapped (these are too fucking long)

For some reason, still think about this line sometimes, a year after it was posted. 👏

Is it fact? I have some Tesa here that I've used before so I don't really mind if it is or isn't, so long as the tape works.

I don't think there are many other bikes that need a respray as much as this one does. Cool build though:)
