Anyone with an allotment?

Passed inspection day yesterday. Have been accused of appropriating a .5m wide strip along the front of the plot which is supposed to be part of the path. We just dug to the previous edge but whatever. Will have to move a few things in winter and put grass seed down to sort it.

Our cucumbers are all doing absolutely fuck all which is annoying. Peppers etc look healthy but have barely grown since going in 2 weeks ago.

Planning granted for the shed I wanted which was the main purpose of inspection day for me so now I need to crack on with that.

Fasciation happens randomly sometimes. Often found in ash trees.
Nowt wrong with it, just fused together!

I've seen it often in mushrooms.

And old boy from the allotment sent an email round to the members saying he had excess plants and did anyone want any. I emailed and said I’d take a few. He texted me today saying he still had loads left and if I didn’t want them they were going in the bin.

I must have planted 50 broccoli, another 50 cabbage, peppers, aubergines, sprouts. My plot is full to bursting

Niiiice! I’m partly jealous but also that sort of thing would stress me out massively as I hate the idea of wasting good plants but I have nowhere to put more than a few plants at the moment.

I always get stressed when people offer us plants I don’t have space for!
Weeds have gone batshit mental over the last week. Need to spend a couple of hours this evening sorting out the onions and spuds.

Same. I need to get up there with a hoe some time this week. In other news I think I'm picking up a 6x8 greenhouse this evening and the water trough has been installed at the bottom of my plot! I watered everything in comfortably half the time it would otherwise have taken me yesterday. Very pleased about this.
