    Can you go cotterless without too much pain? Or are you looking at Raleigh 26 tpi threading woes? My Raleigh Twenties are all about the Phil rings and un71/2 bb conversions. But I gather the cost of the Phil rings is now obscene.

  • I use some threadlocks and usually it does the job, it's for an old Peugeot race bike and I want to keep the parts so not going to convert it

    I'll try to get some old pins then I've noticed new ones are also different sizes sometimes
