I'm truly ashamed of what the UK has become. And even more ashamed of the fact that the vast majority of the population haven't even looked up from their subscription services to notice what we've become.

I've never felt patriotic in my life, mainly just kind of neutral about the notion of statehood and nationality.
But now, I feel the opposite. A growing, since 2016 at least, sense of shame and embarrassment of the country I live in.
I fucking hate this government.
I fucking hate the people who voted for it, who defend it, who rationalise it.
Is it so hard to imagine being better than this?
