I know. What I need is a smaller frame. I was asking about the value of a secondhand one and everyone else got worked up about how I had come to the conclusion I need a smaller frame. 🤣🤣🤣

I get why. Bun the theory.
You know you need a smaller frame cos you tried it.
No discussion needed. Nowt to prove.Never mind what Lee (?) Youtube et al say.

I mean if you found one for sale, you'd know what the cost is. Until then I wouldn't worry about it. Hypothetical ennit.

To be honest most of the internets bike fitters on here were initially telling me just to raise the bars (which is where they had been and it had been even worse!)
Clearly the reach of the bike is too much so I need to find a smaller one. A direct swap will mean no compatibility issues. All I was seeking was rough guidance as to value in case I manage to find a suitable frame to swap to.

For most riders, the usable range is between sweet spot width and about 5 percent less than sweet spot width (for example, 750 to 710mm).
Is this based on 5% of 800mm bars?

No idea.

I have found someone with the same frame as me but in the medium/large which I appears to be much more suitable sized. He has the same proportions as me.
He is willing to sell it with a fox x2 shock for a reasonable sum. Just waiting for him to recover from covid. Selling because he has bought another bike with more travel.
At least it should be a relatively easy swap over. And I get a shock upgrade!
So happy days

It was 4 paragraphs about RAD and SHO and 1 about the value of your frame to be fair

If I deduct what the (unavailable) hire bikes would cost me from the purchase price the resale value (if we do part with it, may very well keep it) will be higher than the remainder, if that makes sense.

And you may be able to rent it out to other trusted people....

True, although they’d need to ask my girlfriend as it’s now her bike.

20 hours since the shock and fork were fully serviced at TF Tuned, which is one of the things that appealed to me.

What bleed kit do I need for 2019 Codes? One with the quick connector thing I recall from my Reverb?
Vitus Sommet purchased for Alpine duties.
It’s got the same travel as my Enduro bike so should work. Slacker, also.
