Nothing fancy, just an Oyster Perpetual with an interesting bezel.
Edit: I wrote machine turned, but it's not, I don't know the exact name.

It's tiny so that helps it stay under the radar, usually.

It's a lovely watch. Not surprised he complemented you.

That is lovely
Meanwhile I’m trying to convince myself it’s café crème not root beer

Can you do a photo of it around the neck of a champagne bottle? Last one I need on my bingo card.

Love that, the lust won’t last, I apologise
But root beer doesn’t mean much to us brits , I think I had it once, was it sarsaparilla flavour .I’m more Dandelion & Burdock
I’ll scratch it soon and then it’s not new anymore -

will you swap that for one delicately placed on a centre console of a warmed up Audi executive saloon?
that’s the only one i don’t have. -

A client of mine has just messaged me to say that he's just bought a 2016 green submariner for £20 grand ( "unworn" , like they all are apparently) and what should he tell his insurance company.
I had to bite my tongue......... -
• #65194
For those who does not know; what would he need to tell his insurance?
-
• #65195
What was the RRP on a 2016 Sub? £5000?
Insurance will say its used, 6 years old and worth £2k

It really puts you off the Brand , I spoke with an acquaintance this week that has always been into his dive watches and has had several sports Rolex on his wrist over the years , eventually started buying from a large well know dealer and now gets fairly regular sports watches that he’s registered interest in .
Some he’s flipped , one recently he sold to a dealer for a near £15 k mark up and promptly settled his car …. Honestly can you blame him .I couldn’t .
If there’s no warranty issue and a 5 year service , in which time he might have sold it anyway , how would Rolex know it’s changed hands .Does the new owner register it to maintain warranty ?
Not many would turn up that sort of easy money , so Rolex might not be the horological king but it’s the king of resale ?
To those in the trade is it temporary this HUGE markup ?
I mean you can’t even get on a wait list , it’ll turn a lot off the brand , but I suspect they’d all be turned back on if you could purchase at retail -

Thanks! I much prefer it to the modern fluted bezel on my dad's new datejust. The new one looks too flashy, my mum convinced him to get something a bit more "interesting" in his old age.
Thats pretty good. One day I'll set my Longines to the second and see how it does.
