Asking for the day off, telling everybody I'll be off, actually taking the day off and then getting a work phone call in the morning when I'm still in bed, 11 unread messages on whatsapp from coworkers by the time I'm up and it's now the afternoon and some people still haven't put 2+2 together and keep calling and texting, including my boss.
I feel like I should be paid for the time I've had to explain "I'm off today, remember?" to everybody. Fuck me.
