Just style, saw it on some bikes when I was putting the bars together a year or so ago, knowing the “source material” I’m sure their only purpose was “shifting more product per bike”

@amey think the only true way around this is to just ignore it, and get the rims built with box sections next time so I don’t care about Finnish being rubbed off when setting up the pads 🧠
@Yemble lightest wide tumble less one is velocity quill at 21 mm but £99 a rim!! Velo orange has a tubeless one that is a tad wider but weigh as much as the bike you’ll put them on and have no machined track, kinlin adhns is 520~g a rim, 20mm internal and £25 a rim, but not tubeless! Then there is the pancetti brevet??? 80-90£? Rim tubeless, lightish, crust has one which is similar but lol @ that - big tyre rim brake really on its death bed tbqh - especially with the desire for 29 50mm+
Looks great with the drops IMO. What's the deal with the Ourys on the drops? Style points, extra comfort?
