Alas, the computer is in my GFs office at work. It's not really possible to unplug anything, as somebody would probably come along and re-try to plug the monitor back in. As far as I'm aware it's a weird setup with MS Remote Desktop through some ancient IT equipment #publicsector
Are you sure it's actually Microsoft remote desktop and not the chrome remote desktop? I think the latter is more of remote access whereas the former usually takes the native resolution of what you're using to access it.
