Mildly hyped for the Resident Evil 4 do-over due early next year.
Resi4 was a huge amount of fun BITD (PS2 for me, but I understand it had more releases than Skyrim) -

once i got to the castle and it became a bit Dark Souls raining death from everywhere I lost interest I think.

It was one of the first games I kept going through.
NG+2 gave you a Tommy gun with unlimited ammo and Ashley was in a suit of armour (invincible and un-carryable)
Much fun for super easy mode lols -

Turn on "enemy upscaling" too; you'll inevitably out-level a chunk of the map (and quests) and they'll be just too easy without that.

I'm getting into COD mobile, anyone else play?

Looks like there was lots to see at the Xbox showcase yesterday but not loads that is massively interesting for me personally on first glance. Glad to see there is a new Forza Motorsport announced.

Glad to see there is a new Forza Motorsport announced.
I really want them to make this a decent sim racer rather than an arcady track racer. Fingers crossed.
It can't be much worse than GT7 though.

AI for the soldiers / vision/ detection is pretty good
In the first level where there's a guy talking to another guy in vehicle by a small house, I shot them both, then another vehicle drove over one of them and past the guy slumped over the steering wheel. Admittedly it's at night.

i've got the settings at quite a high level for realism - not sure that changes the AI on the soldiers - i think it did in previous versions. I found that i was coming down some stone steps in a small room and the soldier in it around the bend heard me and came looking!

Yeah, I hope it's closer to some of the earlier Motorsport games rather than the later ones. I mostly just want them to bring back the career mode as it was in Forza 2 and also the 'endurance' races. That's probably just my nostalgia of playing Forza 2 as a kid though.

Having been playing Fallout 4 for the past few months, I'm looking forward to the upcoming DLC / mod Fallout London.
Fallout: London is an ambitious DLC-sized mod that brings the player into the nuclear apocalypse all the way to the doorsteps of Parliament. The mod encapsulates the gritty, adventurous nature of the Fallout games with a new world, factions, storylines, NPCs, weapons, creatures, & much more! This all comes together in a package tied with an uniquely British bow.
I mean, it could be cheesy crap tho

God of War Ragnarok.
After finishing Last of Us 2 - which was brilliant although turned into a real slog by the end and I just wanted to have it finished - moved onto God of War and have been absolutely loving it.
I suppose it’s a similar father/son/daughter dynamic, which is engaging to see play out. I love how grumpy Kratos is, which only seems to heighten the drama when he’s concerned for Atreus.
Anyway, not really played ‘hack and slash’ games before and certainly not anything in the past 20 years. Really loving the exploration and levelling of skills and equipment and having to evolve lots of different combat styles. Especially like the abandoned mine environments - feels very Lord of the Rings.
No idea how much time I’ve put into it so far - am level 4 - but I’m not counting like I did with LoU2 as there’s so much variety in enemies, environments, puzzles I just want it to go on and on.

Was hyped for Resident Evil 4 reboot/make but that is 2023.
Dear Space reboot/make, but that's been pushed too.
New IPs are a little thin on the ground.
Looking forward to new PS Plus, as it will give me access to Returnal and Spiderman MM, which I was keen on but too tight to spend money on -

It has to be better than 76. What an absolute step back that was.
-
• #27119
I gave up on 76 after about an hour when it came on gamepass.
Replayed 1 and 2 recently, such classics. It's a shame the recent Wastelands don't quite live up to them.

• #27120
I got 76 for free with my fancy controller didn't even install it.

Those two are isometric aren’t they? Like Syndicate? I’d like to play that again.
I’ve played through Fallout 3 a few times and sure I will again. Love it. And New Vegas. A big part of why I liked it was the VATS mechanic and levelling up sneak/accuracy/range etc. that being gone is a big reason why I haven’t tried anything since NV.

• #27122
I enjoyed 4 when I played it, but just could not get into 76 at all. Hopefully when 5 arrives it'll be less glitchy, and not require manually saving after any difficult part for that reason.

Late to the party, but has anyone played Streets Of Rage 4?! Oh my word. What a game.
-
• #27124
Might also be worth checking out the new TMNT game if you're into that, same devs as far as I'm aware

Seen that. Also looks like a lot of fun. Love nostalgic side scroller beat-em-up.
Streets Of Rage 4 survival mode is addictive. The button bashing is very satisfying.
They should just be honest and name it Call of Duty: Again

Does at least 'look' good tho'.
