  • I think I saw that @£24k ish

  • I can remember when you could see them in the AD , and pop in .
    I live in hope

  • I walked in and tried on an Explorer in Schipol in 2018, salesperson was egging me on to buy it...

  • Cheers, those do look good and at a price I can swallow.

@Sumo those are pretty cheap. Think I may pick up a few for other watches.

  • All good. The coal leather one is also really nice, it's the main strap I use on my Speedmaster (not my pic). It's not exactly distressed but it has a kind of brushed texture.

  • What a lovely looking watch.

  • It is, isn't it - not mine, of course. Wish I had one like that, especially the dark grey sunray dial which I think was an oddball short run they had from one of their dial manufacturers, wasn't it? It looks so nice, I'm surprised they haven't brought that look back for some special edition or other.

  • However… the FOIS will be getting fancy soon

  • Ohh, is that the bracelet from the 'Ed White' re issue?

  • That's really cool.
I am tempted by one of the flat link Forstner bracelets as I know the guy who distributes in the UK.

  • Yes, it is. It will fit the FOIS using the Forstner end links.

  • I bought a Forstner (and sold it on here), they're really well done but it felt too "vintage" to me - actually it felt exactly like a NOS vintage bracelet. Which is great… but it was giving me some cognitive dissonance because even though the FOIS is very vintage-inspired I don't think it really looks or feels like a vintage watch. This one has all the modern Omega qualities, it's beautifully made (especially the milled clasp).

  • Thoughts?

  • I think that is the perfect bracelet for the FOIS.
Did you get it direct from Omega and can I ask how much it cost?

  • Totally agree with this. I actually bought your Forstner Flat link on here and although I liked the look it felt too flimsy after a while so I bought the President which I prefer and switched the clasp cover to an Omega one

  • Yes, I ordered it from an Omega boutique and I might PM you the cost because it's somewhat eye-watering (though still £140 less than the bracelet from the new '57 Speedmaster, which looks basically the same to me except that it has a push button micro-adjust in the clasp). The part number is 020STZ012773.

Here's a pic of someone else's FOIS with the 321 bracelet and Forstner end links.

  • Yes, I have a rough idea of what it costs which is why I've not looked too hard into getting one ;)
It does look and I'm sure feel like a step up from the Forstner bracelets though. Not convinced by the new Forstner Contemporary Flat Link either, the milled clasp looks all out of proportion to the bracelet.

  • Yeah, agree about the Forstner milled clasp. It's not in the same league as the recent Omega ones.

  • I'm going to put it on my tritium dialled 861 from '96 cos that feels / looks more "aged"

  • I like it.

Titanium, 41mm, crown guards, curved lugs, all good things in my mind.
£315 is not horrendous, but it is a Timex.
never heard of this James brand either (other than "This be is on fire with passionate love" band)

  • Yeah, it’ll suit that much better.

  • Love the flat looks but polished links..... WHY???!

  • Because that's how they always were - it's the style of the pre-moon bracelets. I've come round to it, not least because the flat-lug cases are polished on the top surface of the lugs.
