That's pretty much my experience. I wouldn't have upgraded if I hadn't finally killed my Bolt v1 by leaving it in a dry bag full of wet laundry for a few days.
But the colour screen is enough of an improvement to outweigh the issues.
(plus I got it cheap anyway).
I haven't been bothered by the off-route stuff, but then I suppose I've been using it more offroad where that's less of an issue. But a coloured route line would make a lot of sense.
Someone who worked for Wahoo once told me that the US side of the company is totally sports oriented and the fact they're great/reliable for navigation is a bit of a happy accident, which might explain why they're not very good at fixing stuff to do with maps/routing. Though that was a while ago.
I’ll keep holding out for their Uber-Wahoo Hammerhead-killer, which must be in the works, surely. Roam V2 with bigger and better screen in the same footprint would be ideal.
