I bought this to poke fun at an ex C-level exec who had a Big Watch; makes me smile every time, there’s no out-bigging this surprisingly practical watch

Omega Seamaster, 39.5mm basic black stainless steel version... Longevity wise, how do the quartz models go? I'm pretty sure I've found the model I'm after but I do want to use it as a daily/tool/water watch. Or more exactly, if I am wearing it and the surf is good I can just keep it on, rather than stashing it somewhere... Other than my square solar G-Shock and my Speedmaster I want to sell all my other average watches and just have the 3. For now.
For reference something like the pre bond or just the basic quartz 300... Images for ref. Only...

Nice, I have 2 GX56, they are surprisingly wearable for a monstrous watch.
They aren't called the King of G Shocks for nothing.

It’s turned into a bit of a Sunday watch this one.

Good call, my first proper watch. Never took it off for about 10 years. Some real heavy engineering work done whilst wearing. 1111 movement. Never saw a service. Sent to Swiss Time Services and came back like new.

Just the right amount of wear and tear, lovely.

Truly beautiful watch! Is the jacket a Stan Ray? I tried it but could not pull it off :_(

Luckily I’m meeting up with a bunch of ageing mods, safety in numbers. It’s a Levi’s hickory stripe chore jacket- nice buttons.

Ordered something (not Japanese) from Yahoo Shopping via buyee.jp. Yet to arrive at their warehouse but so far the process has been smooth. Feel like everyone who sells a lot of King Seiko must just do this? Like stealing candy from a baby.

I must be old. This website makes no sense to me but I would like to buy an old Grand Seiko so I may investigate and take a risk.

Update: watch arrived at their warehouse and just chose my shipping method and paid for that. Still all very straight forward. I know forwarders have existed forever, but as this is my first time using one, I'm impressed with how easy it has been.

Nice.
Does it come with an alternate strap?
Not that I would switch that beauty out. -

Maybe you could bring it back into the sunlight more often!! 😁
