Anyone recommend any floor layers? Specifically looking for someone to lay T&G reclaimed floorboards in a new loft conversion, fairly straightforward apart from having to run it down a couple of steps. SE London based ideally.

Just had some work done by DS Builders - Denzil Smith. Really good quality work, based in Bow East London. Would highly recommend, really nice personable chap too.

I’ve seen Stevo’s recommendation of Craig, and mentions of asplumbersandgas, but has anyone got any other recommendations for plumbers / boiler people who cover SE4?
Our boiler seems to have developed a small leak. It’s a Worcester Bosch of some kind.

Any recommendations for an electrician/electrical engineer in SE London? Got an annoying problem with an element-heated immersion tank. Every six months the thermostat trips, then trips more frequently until it doesn't work at all.
The consumer unit and heating timer was replaced relatively recently (two years ago), heating element also replaced, and thermostat (the 18" rod type) replaced frequently, and I'm stumped as to what's causing it. It's a 60's tower block, with the wiring inside a steel conduit which takes the earth. The immersion tank wasn't an original feature, so perhaps related to a higher wattage element, drawing more energy than it was originally specced to do. Lights in the flat flicker very occasionally, but nothing that seems linked with the tripping of the thermostat, and consumer unit immersion ring never trips either.
Looking for someone that would like to get to the bottom of this!

I came on here to ask for an SE electrician recommendation but not feeling too hopeful given the last post is the same thing with no answer!
But will give it a go anyway… I am only looking for basic stuff (plug socket outside, new consumer unit in a garden office in a couple of months), so any recommendations would be great.

Any reccomendations for an oven fixing person in SE London?
-
• #173
Not a recommendation, and probably not much help, but I've fixed a few ovens over the years (elements, thermometer, circuit board, etc) and they've all been very easy.

Once you nail down the exact parts you need it can be pretty straightforward, done a couple of elements too.
