One (and possibly the only) joy from Saturday came while cycling to Wembley Stadium through Kilburn, when I heard my name shouted. I looked around to see the ever charming @Clever_Pun drinking outside a pub with some chums. Really good to see you. Suspect you enjoyed your afternoon more than I did.

That said cycling to Wembley was a lot nicer than the tube and meant that i got home in half the time albeit that my Garmin routed me home over Hampstead heath and off road and up a climb on a gravel track for a while.

Lovely to see you again... yeah my Saturday was all rather splendid.
I was quite jealous of you cycling when I was on the tube furnace later on

A Pellizoli secured solely by extension cables? You’d really hope they aren’t ‘on here’.

Or, for their sake, let’s hope they are and this shames them into a more secure locking technique? Otherwise that lovely bike won’t be theirs forever.

That bike has literally never been ridden. Everything is box fresh

And it never will be by that owner if they keep ‘locking’ it up like that

Pelizzoli owner: yup, I know. Totally in the wrong here but I had to leave it in the coffeeshop overnight because of left crank arm coming loose. When my friend came to work next morning he only had the cable and a u-lock. I concur, not my brightest moment and not the most elaborate locking used.

Please consider bar plugs. I’ve only seen 2 incidents of impaled cyclists, one unplugged handlebar and one snapped seatpost, but trust me you don’t want that.
