• There's one with a comedy shark fin - I'm kidding myself I'll end up with anything else tbf, will get the GoPro out for some action shots

  • Cheers, those look decent - pretty low profile too, don;t want to end up with something the same size as the dog

  • We're hoping to go on holiday in August, but our dog care plan has just fallen through. Does anyone know of a reliable dog sitter in Beckenham/south east London who might have availability?

    Thanks.

  • Chico is a bit pooped.

    (Spaniard by the way)

  • I'll ask around our doggy friends.

  • I can instantly feel over the internet how that fur feels

  • Little man limping on and off. X-ray showed nothing. Will try some anti inflammatory and more rent. Then CT scan. Breaks my heart.

  • It looks like we'll lose Diva, and the last days are heart wrenching.. Battersea don't have the resources to do an operation really, they say they will see about it if she can be left in a crate when we bring her in (to give her back) but it is very unlikely that she will manage this. If she doesn't that is the end. They have been sweet on the phone though, I guess their hands are tied. Celia Hammond were great, we went to see them because we wanted to explore all options and get as many opinions as possible. They are a different ideology, but I actually don't know if we (all) could get through another surgery and stretch of rehab, even if the surgery was affordable. EDIT Celia Hammond got back to us with quote just out of our range but we are considering it. Perhaps some not understand but i think I might pay to get her fixed up and then give her back to Battersea. I’d rather that than them put her down but also don’t think we could keep her now after so much and with no insurance and the impact rehab takes (not leaving the house etc)
This all comes at an already impossible time >>> depression thread

  • I’ve used home from home dog boarding. They have lots of places around, your dog will go and stay with another person / couple / family in their home for the duration. You supply your own food and bedding…£22 per night ish.

You can visit the person prior to drop off to get a feel for them to make sure you are happy

  • What breed/how many? My girlfriend and I live SE and are getting a pup in September. Both experienced with dogs. If the dates work and the dog(s) is reasonable sized etc we might well consider it for a nice bottle of holiday plonk...

  • Really sorry to hear that, it's such a tough situation, absolutely heartbreaking.

  • Paleoridge have cocked up and sent us an extra 24kg. Anybody with freezer space want to head to SE10 and pick up 24kg of free Paleoridge?

  • I'm really sorry to hear that.

  • thanks folks.

  • Sorry to hear this - can totally understand wanting to get her treated before she goes back to be rehomed again, best of luck with it & here's hoping for a good outcome for all concerned 🤞

  • Thanks, will check them out.

  • Just the one, this 9 month old cockapoo.

    I’ll drop you a DM.

  • Shame, we'd happily have them. Would twin with our idiot.
    Very cute.

  • Please do, depending on dates we'd be delighted to look after them!

  • Ah yes, the logical way to sit on the stairs.

  • has anyone used 'holidog' for finding a pet sitter when going away before?

prices seem much lower (lots of £7 day rates) than rover or other boarding places (more like £30 a day)

  • I just put beer in the fridge and call my nephew.

  • ha! i did have a similar plan for my brother, but his flatmate is allergic to dogs (and he doesn’t seem keen on moving to a different city for 4 weeks for the craic)

  • The duality of Crumpet.
