First time buyers. Currently in chain of 3 waiting for exchange + completion dates. We've already signed everything and are ready to go. Apparently our sellers are waiting for 'further enquiries' to be returned from the solicitors of their onward purchase.
Our mortgage offer runs out 29th of July. If we have to extend it looks like there will be a pretty stonking increase in interest rates which will come out min £5k more in initial 5 year term with £150/ish more on the monthly repayments.
Is there anything we can do to try and push things along? We're already ringing the estate agents everyday for updates.
