Has anyone ever passed one of these (by any percentage) and then proceeded to enjoy a long, fruitful prime ministership afterwards?
I don't know how to find this out either but this (paywalled) article has some good background reading.
I can't find any record of somebody staying as leader for a full year after a VOC but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened ofc.

I don't know how to find out but assume not? In that case he must be toast now whether he passes or not.
