  • *Looks at pile of musettes that I never use with shame.

What do people do with all their musettes? I mostly just put shoes in them when packing suitcases/bags.

  • I've got one (of course it's rapha) I keep in my fleece pocket for emergency shopping bag duty

  • What do people do with all their musettes?

albion lighweight made by Chopsicle lives in the wallet for everyday use and have a sturdier restrap race for touring and general use

  • Doesn't everyone have a musette under the kitchen sink that's full of other musettes?

  • My musettes are my everyday bag, it's the same battered Rapha one going for a few years now.

  • PT lightweight gore tex jacket, how the fuck do you fit into the little pocket inside?

  • We use them for carrying dog leads and treats on walks, gardening tools etc etc. Find them really useful off the bike. We are running low as they wear out after a while.

  • It can be done, and it’s worth doing as it’s tiny once in there. I fill the corners first and hold it like a magician shoving the handkerchief into their hand.

  • I had to google about it as well because I didn't quite understand how to do it...

But all you have to do is simply push the whole jacket into that pocket from the inside of it. It fits but requires some time, that pocket could really be a little bigger....

Every time I do it i'm afraid of ripping the precious fabric, it seems so fragile.
But also i'm surprised every time as it packs so small.

  • Thanks, will have another stab at it shortly. Thought there might be a Youtube video or something for noobs but no.

  • No shame in that, I was actually looking for the same thing. It's not that straightforward!

I love the jacket though. Looks like a trash bag when I put it on but works very well.

  • Yes, you basically turn the pocket inside out so the jacket folds in.

Assuming this is a Gore c7 clone with an armband added, here is a video..

  • It's the same fabric, otherwise different design/cut/fit

  • Anyone have the Rapha Classic prescription glasses and knows curve number of the lenses?

I have the frames, but with no spare (blank) lenses. The optician won't order prescription lenses without knowing the curve that fits the frames. I've asked Rapha in store and via email and they don't seem to know.

    These glasses:
    These ones

    and this measurement:

  • Anyone have the Rapha Classic prescription glasses and knows curve number of the lenses?

I have these and use daily, I just sent mine to these guys and they reglazed them with prescription glass

  • Thanks. Did you send the frames with spare lenses, or just the frames?

My optician said that he can take a measurement of plain (non prescription) lenses to work it out, but he wouldn't want to order lenses without some sort of confirmation whether they are base 4, 6, 8 or whatever. I do have a strong astigmatism prescription, so his position makes sense, but I also think he could take a good guess if he wanted to.

  • first time sent with lens, 2nd time just the frame, now they are at the end of their life

  • I think I found what I was looking for in an old radavist article

Base 6 Wrap, Base 8 Lens

  • I like the Crit jersey but £200 lolz

  • Just been checking out the 'new' pro team stuff. £200 for a jersey is absolutely mental, I do not compute.

  • Yeah, I'm a big Rapha fanboy and even I think that's madness. Unless you're truly top-end pro level, chasing thousands of a second, I just can't see what benefit that has over a £140 or even £90 jersey.

  • new crit jersey looks a bit Spexcel to me.

  • Unless you're truly top-end pro level, chasing thousands of a second

The old aero jersey had the textured fabric over the full sleeves, they removed it from the front on the second iteration because it was faster.
I can't see this being faster than the aero jersey so I'm not sure where the extra value comes from

  • In 2032, how much do you reckon a Rapha Pro Team jersey will be?
