To pick up on a few pages back debate about the royals bringing in tourist money.
I don't think anybody has ever managed to prove conclusively that the Royals generate tourist money. Its probably bollocks as you suggest. Their primary and probably only contribution to the coffers comes from income tax and proceeds from the Crown Estate.
You make a good point though. The Royal Family ceded most of the palaces including the popular tourist ones to the government years ago...there's no reason to think they'd stop generating income if the Royals no longer existed.

Prince Nonce tests positive for Covid and will miss the remaining events. How convenient.

What are the carbon emissions from this fly past?
Plus all the journeys to the capital to wave flags

Déjà vu... how can proceeds from the Crown Estate be a contribution from the Royal family?

I reckon most of those journeys are on public transport. Some of those who traveled will be staying in hotels over the long weekend. That’s tourism revenue for the rail and hotel industries. Not to mention tea towel sales. That’s all before we get onto crockery.

...bunting on hedges, lamp posts, you name it.
Such a waste, 90% of it in landfill next week. Can be reused for the funeral and coronation though

If we want to get rid of them and still make boku tourist bucks, we just machine gun them all against a wall, don’t wash the blood off the wall, and charge £25 quid a head to see it.

I saw the queen drive past the natural history museum today. I was eating a hummus and chipotle wrap.

Typical entitled driver, can barely walk but still feels it's acceptable to get behind the wheel of a two-ton vehicle.

I know a lot of people have a problem with the Jubilee. But when I was
eight, I was getting mugged in a park when the Queen saw what was
going on and came flying in and battered the guy who’d attacked me. I
thanked her and she gave me a large ruby which I keep with me to this

Me and my partner cycled into town yesterday because I like to look at big events and the logistics of them. Lovely day in the sun cycling the closed roads around St Paul's to begin with, then went off down to the Mall to see how busy it was, admiralty arch was completely rammed so we went round and down the steps at the Duke of York monument which was as busy as it normally would be. Standing at the barriers who other than Prince Charles and Camilla get driven past on their way back from St Pauls. Felt quite smug to have got the perfect position without having to camp out overnight. We locked eyes and he waved at me which I think means I'm now 7th in line for the throne?
I hope the Queen now stops the monarchy out of spite so no one can best her 70 years.

I think he was offering you and partner seats in his box for The Killers last night.
Or pay extra to see their heads.
