I used some when putting down some self leveling compound on a floor. I doubt they go deep enough to do your lawn that much good.

Thanks for the offer. I probably need to read up on things first but will let you know. Laid some turf in March and, while it’s taken pretty well, you can definitely see the area we walk on most and the ground is really compacted. Thought a bit of mulch and walking over it might help?

Unlikely to hurt. Water is probably important too.
More new turf might be less effort and cheap?
