• It looks like we'll lose Diva, and the last days are heart wrenching.. Battersea don't have the resources to do an operation really, they say they will see about it if she can be left in a crate when we bring her in (to give her back) but it is very unlikely that she will manage this. If she doesn't that is the end. They have been sweet on the phone though, I guess their hands are tied. Celia Hammond were great, we went to see them because we wanted to explore all options and get as many opinions as possible. They are a different ideology, but I actually don't know if we (all) could get through another surgery and stretch of rehab, even if the surgery was affordable. EDIT Celia Hammond got back to us with quote just out of our range but we are considering it. Perhaps some not understand but i think I might pay to get her fixed up and then give her back to Battersea. I’d rather that than them put her down but also don’t think we could keep her now after so much and with no insurance and the impact rehab takes (not leaving the house etc)
This all comes at an already impossible time >>> depression thread

  • Really sorry to hear that, it's such a tough situation, absolutely heartbreaking.

  • I'm really sorry to hear that.

  • Sorry to hear this - can totally understand wanting to get her treated before she goes back to be rehomed again, best of luck with it & here's hoping for a good outcome for all concerned 🤞
