SF is amazing though. If you live anywhere North and/or West from Mission, you've got quality riding within a few kms off your doorstep. Twin peaks, or head to GG bridge through one of the parks and youre sorted. If you're lucky, you might even find some real grävêl.
-From my limited experience- riding in the city isnt great, but its not horrible either.

Yeah GG and whatever is over the bridge from SF seemed like the Richmond Park analogs for sure. It’s more the out of the city stuff that kind of blew my mind. A friend of mine lives in montara now and said he’s just quit road riding entirely. But yeah as I say, plenty of people out, I was just amazed by how OK they all seemed to be with situations that would really shit me up
