Ha, you're good. I have to admit I don't love the shape of Neo Retro's. I'm more of a traditional canti person. The Neo's just jut out from the frame a bit too much for me - and it's even worse on the fork.

That they pop out so much from the frame, yes, that's absolutely true and sometimes even a problem, get stuck with fancy lycra clothes for example. Braking is I have to say great, I thought I would hate them, a cable stop mounted on the fork stopped stutter totally. On the one group 2-days ride I did last year I was the only one with rim brakes, but the most quiet one!
Also great color on the frame, with silver parts, ah and shipping from Japan is really super fast.
