  • Yes and yes. I think if you put in the buyers details, they get an email in lieu of the paper.

  • Perfect - thanks very much

  • I just bought a car, the guy filled in the v5c thing online and I got the new v5 in the post about a week later - if that helps.

  • Thanks - that's what we did, and I gave him the new keepers slip also

  • I'm currently in Virginia with family and browsing Craigslist for sub 5k cars with unnecessarily large engines I can ship back to the UK and never drive

  • Superb all round

Well, as long as it's a Hemi, bonne chance. Big block Chevy as a bare minimum.

  • Chatting to some on line people, they say netherlands is better for big 4x4 as people don't want them so huge depreciation with low miles and good condition. Germany and France prices have got high so look east Europe so hungry and poland for cheap cars. Poland can get a Lada Niva and they are great off road.

  • Cheers I'll ask my friend in the netherlands for their second hand websites. Don't have time to go East, don't have time to scratch my arse.
Maybe I'll just fit all terrains to the outback and be done. It should do the job fine.

  • Understand, BUT part of me does love a lada Niva...

  • Love a Batmobile, beautiful

  • Anyone used Koni's 'special active' dampers recently? Think they only came out in 2019 or so.
They reckon they have some wizardry in them, but I suspect they just have quite a soft high speed compression tune, and then maybe a conical damper in the low speed circuit above that doesn't allow flow during longer duration compression (body roll/big weight transfers).
They aren't an expensive item so not expecting miracles.

7 years on bilstein B8's and they are finally worn out, nothing leaking, but a few really rough patchs of road in hot weather and now car feels like a wallowing box of rocks. Think they did about 120k which is good in my book.

  • Would it be cheaper to rebuild the shock?

Thought about going for gaz shocks, have found them very helpful.

  • The Koni’s you describe are fairly popular in 911 circles- not sure if that helps you though.

  • @Howard just spotted this today! Looks awesome and no doubt ULEZ exempt!

  • Battery on charger for 3 days, starter just clicks. I think it’s dead.

  • Did you try jump start?

  • Spotted in Isleworth today

  • Did you try jump start?

No, this battery has gone completely flat repeatedly - I'm totally unsurprised that it's hosed, time for a new one.

  • I asked in case there was a starting motor issue.

  • Ah, got you- no, it’ll start when I use a jump pack.

  • That’s fucking ace

  • The owner, sitting down in the blue shirt, showed us what's behind the seats. Basically a massive boot, like a pickup with the surfboard flipping forward.

  • New battery time it is.
