some absolute paper thin thing; it has no brand! i bought everything used/borrowed before making sure i actually like this sort of thing.

insulation below you is always squished, so doesn't loft, so doesn't keep you warm, so is pointless

What about air coming in through the gaps? That’s what always annoys me in my normal bed too when it’s really cold.

there are no gaps for the air to come thru, unless you stick your foot out to cool down deliberately :)
