• Does anyone know anything about roses?

    These were in the garden when we moved in, they looked in pretty poor condition not having been fed/pruned for a long time.
    Last year we cut them back to about 40cm high and they’ve shot back up since then.
    Problem is they’ve got these spots all over the leaves, no idea what they are or if they’ll be a problem.
    Any suggestions?

  • Rose clear might help I’ve used that on our roses for years. I did some Googling and apparently it’s OK for bees. Although I Try not to use it too often.

  • Rose Clear looks like it might work but I think I’ll try the baking soda spray in the earlier article to avoid using chemicals.
    Failing that I may just have to prune back the affected stems by the looks of it.

    I’m astounded how hardy they’ve been, I thought that it may have killed them when we cut them back last year!
