Had a bit of a ride around this afternoon.
Gearing is a bit too high. I have a 17T sprocket to swap in for the 15T, but discovered that I don't have a lockring spanner. Ordered.
The bb high on this bike. When I did the seat post by eyeball it was way too low. Measured it off one of my other bikes and now the ground is a long way away, and getting off a fixed bike is apparently something which I still need to learn how to do.
Also, kerb hopping. How does that work on a fixed bike, or does it not?

Part of me thinks this one looks a bit off, but another part thinks it looks like a blast ro ride.

I’ve reconsidered and decided that I like this one a lot.

Been a while since I’ve done any riding without two levers on the bars, but all my drop levers are taken, so I’m gonna see how this does for a while.

been commuting 3 days a week on the Dolan for a few weeks now, and starting to enjoy it.
It's a short commute, 11km from NE London through the City to Blackfriars, so lots of stopping and starting.
It took about 100km before I felt like I was actually riding the bike as opposed to being dragged along by it.
Changing to a bigger sprocket definitely helped.

That’s great, nice work! What gear are you running now?
I’ve not been riding fixed at all since injuring myself trying to learn to DAS, it definitely took a bit of time for my not-as-young-as-they-used-to-be knees/legs to recover from that. I must get back to it (but no skidding!)

45/19. I think it's around 63 gear inches.

I had a split shift yesterday so managed to sneak in a 45 miler on the billboard. Really didn’t want to return to work, but hey ho (48/16)

That’s a solid all-round gear

Posting an update on my Paddy Wagon here, it very briefly had flat bars and a basket (I know, I know) before being swapped back to it’s current (and best) configuration.

Great build.
This would make a bangin rf/fr for someone, looks like swish crankset as well

Bloody 'ell that's nice.

Was very close to enquiring about this one until I saw the size was much too small for me.
