Cervelo sent out a brass shim to sort it. He claims it’s been fine
@specialist had a metal P3 with the shim, seemed to work. Rider weight is obviously a factor.

The chap I bought it from was, er, quite a big chap... So thats sort of reassuring that it wont slip, assuming that he wasn't lying through his teeth of course.
I read that article about the snapped steerers. Thats fairly worrying, but the steerer on my fork looks ok, no deep rusty bits. But after seeing that article, I think I'll be putting a new fork on it.
I now really regret selling an EC90 Aero fork that I hoarded for years.
Aye the chap was quite honest about it all. He was the original owner. He mentioned that the SL had been recalled and he was given the CL as a replacement.
He also pointed out that the seat posts were prone to slipping but Cervelo sent out a brass shim to sort it. He claims it’s been fine, I guess I’ll find out.
I’ve gave the fork a good look over and there doesn’t appear to be anything blatantly wrong with it.
What issues were reported with the CL fork?
It’s obviously not perfect but for £100 I couldn’t resist. Very much an impulse buy with no real research. But that’s always the most exciting way. Buy now, think later…
