FS: Dawes Galaxy Frame and Fork - 54cm - now £80!

The time has come to clear out some of the accumulated aborted projects, starting with this frame and fork:

The classic touring frame, now ideal for a commuter!
I had this repaired by Oak Cycles back in 2011, after a crack appeared in the headtube, no problems since, and it was powdercoated by Armourtex at the same time!

Pros: Plenty of mounts for water bottles, racks etc., decent clearance for 28c tyres and mudguards, Canti mounts front and rear.

Cons: tyre rub on l/h chain stay (see photo), and the rear wheel adjusters were left in when it ws repainted so they're stuck!

(Headset and BB are included but they're both placeholders only.)

Do you know what year this is from and whether you can use modern cantis and wide rims?

@hugo7 I think its from the 90's - sadly the serial number is obscured by powder coat...

I had it set up with Avid Shorty 6 cantis and Mavic Open pro rims previously.

from memory - the headtube was reamed out and replaced but retaining the original lugs. I can try and dig out the emails with Oak Cycles and see if I have any photos of the repair.

See attached photo of brake bosses, I never had any problems in use.
