A friend from Lisbon gave a tip for Belem. Don’t queue for takeaway, go inside and get a table, have a coffee and a tart and grab some more to takeaway. Will find if this works tomorrow…

I'm Portuguese myself and lived in Lisbon for about 6 years - never tried the Pastéis de Belém store. It's usually seen as a tourist trap, you can get good pastéis de nata/Belém literally everywhere.
