It's certainly not motifs or image quality you're lacking. Unless you REALLY want to dive into the rabbithole that is photography gear and paraphernalia, I'd just as soon spend the money on bikes and trips. (Editor's note: I used to be a commercial photographer and I don't want to lug my small DSLR with me anywhere)

Fair enough, I‘m not quite sure if I want to go down that rabbit whole tbh. I definitely don‘t want to carry a large and heavy DSLR with different objectives that‘s why I thought a quality camera with a pancake lense might be a good compromise. Portability is definitely a priority as I would use it mostly for cycling trips.
Glad to hear you like the snaps! I feel like I got a reasonably good eye for motives and composition but never took the step to get proper gear and dive into the technical side of photography. I‘ve been thinking about getting a quality compact camera like a fuji x100 series but I wonder if it‘s worth the money for my limited needs.
